Bergerie Trust CLG hosted a Website Launch and Digital Inclusion Morning at the Pennywell Day Centre this week as part of the Limerick Lifelong Learning Event, celebrating lifelong learning and improved digital access for older people.
The event marked the official launch of Bergerie Trust’s new website, designed to improve accessibility and strengthen communication with residents, families, and the wider community.
Proceedings included a welcome by Board Chair, Mike O’Doherty and a digital ribbon‑cutting ceremony officiated by John Moran, Mayor of Limerick. He also presented certificates participants who recently completed a digital skills programme at the centre (run by Jimmy and Geraldine). A panel discussion on digital inclusion followed, moderated by Marie McSweeney, with contributions from Dr. Brendan Ryan (Limerick and Clare ETB), Dr. Anne Griffin (University of Limerick), and Ray Ryan, General Manager of Bergerie Trust, alongside resident voices.
Bergerie Trust extended a special thanks to Joanne Garvey, Jimmy Prior and all staff for their commitment in organising the event.
Bergerie Trust has supported older and vulnerable people in Limerick for over 30 years through housing, day‑centre services, and community programmes.
